Swareena is one of the first children to join Learning Ladder at its establishment. Swareena’s parents have been very much supportive, humble and dependable for us. They have always praised all the programmes introduced to Swareena over the years. She has learnt almost everything with us.
Swareena was facing perception problems and was banging herself on the objects while walking. She was poor in coordination skills, academics, language and cognitive skills. We started intervention with her occupational therapy program, activities of daily living training, language development, socialization and functional reading of sight words.
Swareena started learning her concepts well and we keep on adding new domains to her curriculum. In 2017-18 we started working on these domains activities of daily living program, language development, functional academic, monetary awareness, cooking, computer literacy program and grade level program (for English only, NCERT). She has shown significant progress in all above-mentioned domains. In 2018-19 we modified her curriculum and started working on activities of daily living intermediate level , monetary and shopping (intermediate level), adult living skills (intermediate level), pantry care and cooking (intermediate level), vocational training – assistant teacher, and computer literacy program (intermediate level).
During this year, Swareena learned so many new skills in all the areas and she was capable enough to develop worksheets for academic grade pre-nursery upon the request of the teachers. She could manage photocopying, scanning, printing and handing over the required material to the respective teachers. She could manage basic cooking like preparing tea, coffee, soups, maggie, egg boiling, and omelettes 100% independently. She was responsible for taking care of medicines for her Dadi and now, she is taking care of medicines for her father.
We are preparing her for office assistant, household manager, assistant teacher and an independent girl.
