Vishesh Jan Vikas Sansthan

Vishesh Jan Vikas Sansthan (VJVS) was established in 2018 as National Level Trust working as Non-Profit and Non- Government organization in the field of disability rehabilitation. It is registered under Article 64 of Indian Trust Act. Trust is also registered under sections of 80G and 12A of Income Tax Act 1961.

Currently, trust has undertaken life skill training activities for children with developmental disabilities. The services include assessment and training of individual with special needs in Early intervention, Special Education (Activities of Daily Living, Socialisation, Academic Remediation, Functional Academics, Shopping and money management, Computer and gadget training, Pantry care and cooking, community living, Pre-vocational training and Specialised vocational training), Occupational Therapy and Language & Speech Therapy.

The main purpose of the trust is to make the individual with special needs independent in all the aspects of life by providing them quality, creative and innovative training in each of the area. For meeting the purpose VJVS has undertaken Learning Ladder therapy centre to deliver quality intervention for children with special needs.

VJVS has also developed a software ‘iePlanner’ to reduce paper work of educators and provide clear and real time reports to parents. It increases effective intervention timings of student and teacher in order to meet the goals.

Objectives of Vishesh Jan Vikas Sansthan

  • To setup and run a society for care and development of individuals with special needs (divyangjan)
  • To expand into an inclusive community of people of old age, individuals with special needs (divyangjan) and other needy people, to thrive together as a self-sustaining and mutually supportive community who live together in a residential environment and complement each other in their care, support, companionship, brotherhood, cooperation, mutual harmony, love and affection
  • To run residential setups and hostels for community comprising of people of old age, individuals with special needs (divyangjan) and other needy people
  • To provide Respite Care, Half-Way Home, Holiday-Home and Day-Care facilities to individuals with disabilities
  • To establish and run variety of vocational projects based on capabilities of individuals residing within the inclusive community
  • To provide early intervention services to children with special needs (divyang children).
  • To provide pre-school, school, skill building, pre-vocational and vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with special needs
  • To provide integrated and inclusive education to individuals with special needs
  • To establish and promote facilities for sports, recreations, leisure time activities, excursions, creative and performing arts, cultural and social inclusive activities
  • To teach and practice modalities for spiritual health of people of old age, individuals with special needs (Divyang Jan) and other needy people i.e. yoga, meditation to achieve individual as well as community well-being
  • To setup and run cottage-industries and small-scale industries for vocational training and employment of individuals with special needs
  • To setup and run environment friendly, eco-promotive, sustainable and agriculture based vocations for individuals with special needs which help in adaptation to climate change and therefore contribute to climate resilience
  • To develop minimum physical and social structure for creating overall growth and development for persons with disability/disabilities
  • To organize physical, social, cultural and educational programs to promote integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities
  • To undertake Community Based Rehabilitation services to reach rural and remote areas of the country
  • To establish and support human resource development activities to train required professional required at various level for programmes and projects for people of old age, individuals with special needs (divyangjan) and other needy people
  • To promote and organize Research, Workshop, Seminar, Conferences, Training Programmes and Events for professionals and individuals with disabilities
  • To run projects, counseling and awareness programmes for prevention of disabilities
  • To advocate for rights and benefits of persons with disabilities and professionals in the field of special education and rehabilitation
  • To support projects for legal literacy and legal counseling and understanding of existing laws for people of old age, individuals with special needs (divyangjan) and other needy people
  • To organize seminar, conference and workshop on social justice, educational and economic upliftment of special community (individual with special needs, orphans and elderly people)
  • To exchange views and develop network among rehabilitation professionals, to strengthen field of disability rehabilitation
  • To publish Books, Journals, Research Journals, Annual Reports, Magazines, Bulletins, etc., to update knowledge and skill in the field of special education and rehabilitation
  • To promote and develop software for effective implementation and management of individualized programme for children with special needs.
  • To develop and use variety of apps, devices and assistive devices to advance the living of people of old age, individuals with special needs (divyangjan) and other needy people
  • To give awards and honors to professional individuals with disabilities, organizations and NGO’s to promote rehabilitation services
  • To create, collect and disseminate information in the field of disability rehabilitation
